The history of student overalls

The history of the student overalls is not so easy to document. But most indicate that the student overalls first appeared in the late 60s or early 70s at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Why then did it become a student overall? Simply because the technologists used overalls when they were working and they started going out with them in the student pubs. The reason behind this is a bit unclear - maybe he did not change them or it was just a fun idea.
