Mechanical edge sensor. Simplifies the set-up process and positioning of the tool spindle in relation to the work piece or machine table on the milling machines and drilling machines. The sensor is mounted in the tool spindle?s chuck. During rotation the moving contact tip is guided towards the edge of the work piece and the distance between the edge detector and the work piece can be determined.
