Product Information

  • Tamahagane produces knives that are well known around the world for amazing quality and sharpness. The knives are made of the same steel used in samurai swords, which is a hard steel that can be sharpened in a substantially steeper angle than most other knives.

    San tsubame series gets its characteristic apperance by only grinding the the bottom part of the blade. The thin blade provides an extremely sharp edge and the steel will make it stay sharp for a long time.

    The black handle is made of black Mikata, which is a material of linen and plastic pressed together under extreme pressure. This provides a hard, water-resistant and hygienic material that is suited to the kitchen.

    The bread knife is a versatile job that handles many jobs in the kitchen. The edge manages to easily cut through the hardest bread crust.
