- When your air purifier cleans the air, both viruses and bacteria are caught and trapped in its filters. The UV lamp TruSens Z-1000 helps to damage these so they can no longer multiply and infect.
- The UV lamp is an important part of the air purifier. Once viruses and bacteria are trapped in its filters, they cannot be left untreated as they can reproduce and thus infect. UV light is used to make viruses and bacteria unable to do just that. The organisms are not able to withstand germicidal wavelengths of UV light and thus cannot cause infection or proliferate after being treated with UV light. An indicator light will start to illuminate when it is time to change the lamp.
